Anonymous, circa 206-195 BC. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 4.10 g, 12 h), Rome. Head of Roma to right, wearing crested and winged helmet; behind, X (mark of value). Rev. ROMA (in linear frame) The Dioscuri, each holding spear, on horseback galloping right; above their heads, two stars; below horses, dog standing right. Crawford 122/2. RBW 562. Sydenham 249. Rare and nicely toned. Small flan crack, otherwise, nearly very fine.

From an American collection of Roman Republican and Imperatorial coins, privately acquired at the New York International Numismatic Convention in 2002 (with collector's ticket).
